Flatplan

I created these flat plans of my photobook layout the see what the design would look like altogether.
Draft Flat Plan:

This is the first draft of the flat plan. I am not yet sure of the sequence of my images. I want my books design to be consistent but also broken up by a different page layout so it is not too repetitive. I currently have the introduction at the beginning of the book to inform the reader about the area before looking at the images. Most of the images are full bleed and displayed on the right side of the double pages. In some pages of the book I will display images next to each other, they will be of the same subject but taken at different times. I am also planning on putting a map at the end to show people visually how the areas around Walthamstow Wetlands are connected.
Updated Flatplan:

This is my updated flat plan. It was easier to create a plan of the design once the sequence was in order so I could get an idea of the narrative and how it would work in the layout. I decided to have a page with the title in the book as well as the front cover to introduce the book. I decided to have the text at the start, since making this flat plan I have since decided to put the text at the end of the book as I feel that it is better for the reader to see the images first and then find out the information after. I have still kept some of the images full bleed on the right page and a blank left page. When displaying the images of the same subject but taken on different day I am going to have the strongest image large on right size and two of the other images smaller on the left page. I am still keeping the map at the end. I feel that this design works better as it shows the sequence in a way that communicates the narrative.
